Having Problems in Nursery

Ethan is 21 months at this point and he is still having a devil of a time with nursery. I teach primary, so Eric drops him off and has to leave him bawling his head off every week. If one of us glances in during the block he is sitting on a workers lap sobbing. It is so sad, but we don't know what to do! Our nursery is awesome, thank heaven. Our church is from 1-4, so of course he doesn't get a nap beforehand and he is so tired. When we go to pick him up he has always cried himself to sleep in a workers arms. Agh! I don't know what to do with this baby! Does anyone else have these issues? Can children become stable enough to not bawl through nursery?

Hey Nat! Aldee is the same way...she won't go. I haven't really "left" her there yet but I am going to try it soon. I remember Makell hating it at first too but she learned to like it eventually. So there is hope for Ethan & Adlee! Until then we will have to suffer with the seperation anxiety! :)

Soren still cries during nursery, although we have noticed that if we force him to take a nap before church, even if that means getting him up early so he will take an earlier nap, then se does tons better in nursery.

That is the cutest picture ... It really captures all of the mischief that is Ethan!

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice to give you, but I do think that's the cutest picture I've ever seen.

My advice: trade the lad in for a porsche. They whine less when you drop them off at nursery.
