Sneaking Veggies

Ethan doesn't like to eat anything that is actually good for him. So today I decided to take seriously getting some fruits and veggies into him. I made him a smoothie and snuck in beets, carrots, an apple, and some other mixed veggies. Mwahahahaahhaha! Mwahhaa! (Evil laugh) He drank two cups of it, referring to it as "yummy juice" and I froze the rest and fed him some as "ice cream" later. Mwahaha! Now if I could just get him to eat meat...
PS--As I was making the smoothie, the beets started smelling really yummy to me. I had a bite, and then practically finished the can. They tasted...I dunno, like what I have been craving in dirt. Something very earthy about them... Guess I'll hafta stock up!

this is a great trick. This is pretty much the only way I get Brady to eat that kind of stuff too. What do we do with these kids???

how creative... I've never eaten beets in my life. probably because I assumed they'd taste like dirt. you've now confirmed my suspicions!

Hey Natalie! Your family is so dang cute- I love to run in to your mom cause she always fills me in on what you're up to! Dirt huh? Ya know, whenever someone tries to get me to eat beets I tell them I hate them because they taste just like dirt... so maybe they will do the trick for your weird craving!

I'm with Darl. Just let the kid grow up on junk food -- healthy diets are just a conspiracy to break our will anyway.
