Texas Spring

I dearly love that spring comes early in Texas. Our trees in our front yard are in bloom and the weather is hovering around 70 degrees. It is the best time of year in Dallas!
We are enjoying our new house. There are lots of little ideas we have that are in the line up to improve our new crib. I planted a few bushes out front and weeded the flower bed the other day. It was pretty exciting to me seeing it was the first time I'd ever done yard work in one of the places I've lived. (I was pretty pathetic at it too...I had to call green thumb Melodie every 5 minutes)
Anyway, we went to the zoo during spring break with some of our new friends from the ward. It was crowded but very fun for the kids. One of our friends caught this picture. Libby refused to be in the picture but you can see her peeking around the corner.

Libby's Hair Fiasco

So I happened like this: Libby was having a grand ol' time cutting up construction paper. And then she went upstairs for awhile. No big deal. But then she came downstairs and Eric and I realized she was missing, um, her HAIR! So we tried to keep ourselves from freaking out and examined the damage. It was far from what I could salvage at home. So we hopped in the car and headed to the kiddie salon, where luckily they worked their magic and she was soon looking less like a runway model and more like a cute little boy. So now we're doing our best to wear pink clothing and put lots of telltale bows in her hair.
So there's that.

Busy As A Bee

 There have been lots of goings on since I last posted on here. First of all, my awesome family came for Christmas. It was so great and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful, close knit family. (We missed Stephen and Bryant but are glad they were enjoying Christmas in other places.) While the fam was here we actually moved from our rental house in Oak Cliff to our new house in Sunnyvale. They were monstrously helpful, especially my sister Melodie who was a work horse the entire trip. Thanks, Mave!  Here is a little footage of the previously mentioned events:

Christmas was a blast even though Eric had to work most of the day (lame) and we even got snow here in Dallas! I love being around family and it about killed me to see them go, but I am looking forward to spending time with them at the family reunion this summer. Thanks fam for coming to visit us!

Yuletide Shindig

We've had such a wonderful time at the Christmas party we've hosted the last two years that I think we are going to have to make it a permanent occasion. Of course, the thing that makes it so fun are the awesome people we associate with. We are going to miss our dear friends of the branch!

We Bought A House!

I am so excited. We bought a house. And, in fact, this is it. Nothing too fancy, nothing too big, but a lovely, new house. Our house is set to close Dec 31. Great Christmas present, don't you think?
The location of this lovely  4 bed 3.5 bath, 2300 sqft home is in Sunnyvale Texas. Sunnyvale is about 15-20 mins from downtown Dallas when there is no traffic.
I am pretty much ecstatic about our new house. I will miss a lot of things about living in the city though...the branch, our dear friends, being close to downtown and our adorable neighborhood, of course. BUT, I feel great about starting this new part of our lives. Wish us luck.

Desperate

After Eric and I decided to cut back Ethan's lego review youtube viewing time, he was devastated. So of course his prayer that night was a pleading "please bless that I can watch youtube again!"
Darn it, Eth. I think the Lord is on our side on this one.
