Four Years Later...

Then:Now:

Eric and I have been married for four years! We hit our anniversary on August 5th. We celebrated by going to a delicious seafood restaurant in Seattle (without the small fries!). I can honestly say I am just as excited to be married to Eric today as I was four years ago. A few random facts about us and our marriage:
  • Since we've been married we've lived in Utah and NC. We've spent summers in Arkansas/Missouri, Seattle and Texas
  • Eric and I are 3.5 years apart. He was 23 and I was 20 when we got hitched
  • The Provo temple was under construction at the time we got married there
  • We have 2 kiddies...Ethan Joseph and Liberty
  • Eric and my favorite hobbies together are eating out and watching movies together...we also love playing games and going on vacation
  • Eric and I met at work...Legends Grille, Student Athlete Building, BYU
  • Eric and I are the only married children in our families
I love being married and I look forward to many more anniversaries!

San Francisco Vacation

Eric and I left Ethan with my mom in Utah and went on a little three day getaway to San Francisco. We had an absolute ball. We did a million things in those three days and these pictures are proof. Here are some highlights:
The Golden Gate Bridge, of course

The Musee Mechanique
Sea Lions on Pier 39!
Near the Cliff House
Eric and Libby at the Oakland Temple
A delicious cupcake purchased at Ghirardelli Square
On the Bay cruise
Chocolate from Heaven

Blazing in the Emerald City

I would just like to give a little shout out to those who lived their entire lives without air conditioning. They deserve a gigantic reward. Unexpectedly, Seattle is having some hundred degree (and over) weather...this is not usually the case, and so not many people have A/C. Let's just say: its difficult to deal with. I've never known what a huge wimp I am. Its embarrassing how much I've been whining. Hot, hot, hot. And then, I think about my brother, for example, in Mexico, surviving 121 degree heat...with no A/C, of course. Or my grandpa, who was stationed in Gainsville, TX back in the day. They just had to sit in their offices and hope a breeze blew in the window. WOW. Now that's toasty.
So basically, I'm baby. And a whiner.
I don't have it bad.

Mecham Reunion 2009

The Mecham Reunion was held in Altamont, Utah again this year. It was a blast as usual! The location of the Hidden Springs Ranch is way out in the sticks, but as I was driving out with Ethan and Libby I had all kinds of memories of when Eric and I were engaged. Almost exactly four years ago was the first Mecham reunion I attended and it was right before our wedding on August 5, 2005. I was so sad that Eric couldn't come, but me and the small fries still had a ball with the Pelfreys, who were all able to make it. (Except Spence, of course, who is dilligently laboring in Italy...) Ethan had so much fun playing with Brandon and Elliott and Libby got all the attention she could ever want from the girls and Gramma. I think my favorite part besides the chatting was the unbelievable food, purchasing a new Mecham Family Cookbook and Family Feud. It was an amazing time. See you in a few years, Mechams all!
(Unfortunately I don't have pictures to post right now because I didn't bring a camera cord to Utah. Coming soon...)

Christensen Family Reunion 2009

Another fabulous Christensen Reunion has come and gone. My mom did an awesome job organizing it and all my fun cuzzies were there to make it a blast. I think my favorite parts were the shaved ice, dibby dip and the Christensen Family poems. We missed Eric but we were glad we got to come to Idaho, have a good time and take a bunch of good pix. Have a look!

Worst Actors/Actresses

There are a number of actors and actresses I can't stand for one reason or another. I will allow you to argue for or against these names in your comments. Also, feel free to add to the list.

Drew Barrymore
Number one worst actress of all time. Most annoying voice ever. She is especially offensive in Ever After. Oh yeah, she is not even close to pretty.

Russell Crow
He bugs.

Vanessa Hudgens
Fake, annoying laugh, terrible baby voice, dates Zac Efron. Must die.

Amy Adams
Sorry, but she is a little much.

Robert Pattinson
Okay, well, I've only seen him in a main roll in Twilight, and there was absolutely no chemistry between him and Bella. But I did bawl my eyes out when he died in Harry Potter.

Kristin Stewart
See above.

Ben Affleck
Nothing to him. He thinks he's hotstuff.

Jennifer Love Hewitt
I'm being generous to even call her an actress. I guess I'm not being fair because I've never even seen her in anything...haha...she just looks like an airhead.

Freddie Prince Jr.
Flash in the pan. Two thumbs down.

Scarlett Johansson
Guys, she's not that good.

Jon Heder
Shoulda stopped at Napoleon Dynamite.
