We are having a ball here in Dallas despite the freakishly hot weather. (And they say it gets worse!) We've attended a rodeo with our friends, hit lots of spraygrounds, had a trip to the Dallas Zoo, swam in our apt. pool a million times, played at the mall's playplace, hit up a Dollar Movie, checked out the JFK assassination location and even went to the Dallas Children's museum. We are so lucky to have friends here to hang out with! The 7 weeks that Ethan, Libby and I will be here has flown by. But don't worry, Texas, we'll be back someday...
I saw this tag on my cousin Shanny's blog the other day and I wanted to do it. Go to your picture folder and open up the 5th folder you see, then select the 5th photo in that folder. And the result is:Yes! I love it. Eric and Libby eating my bday cake. It is even sideways for your viewing pleasure.
Ethan has the funniest, cutest little voice. If you are around him often, you know what I'm talking about. Sometimes he adopts this way of talking...I'm not sure how to describe it...kind of gruff, like he's growling or making a truck sound, and it is hilarious! So part of the time he has this sweet little two year old voice and the other part he uses this throaty growl, kind of like he forgot he wasn't being a lion anymore. Combined with the funny things he's always saying, I can't help giggling at him all the time, even when he's being naughty. The other day we had just gotten in the car to take Eric to work and Eric said, "Oh! Dang it! I left my security passcard upstairs!" Ethan, in the backseat is his car chair said, in the same tone, "Oh, dang it! I left my Thomas credit card upstairs!" (His Thomas credit card being a little plastic Thomas picture card that came with a Thomas toy.) And sure enough, when daddy came down, he had it!What an Ethan!
Today is Libby's five month birthday. Hard to believe she was born clear back in January. She is pure joy. She is incredibly chubby and soooo sweet. She sits in her carseat half the day and lets Ethan maul her day in and day out. She still maintains her dark hair even though it is basically in tufts at the bottom of her head.I love her.
We are Eric and Natalie Pelfrey. We've been married for 7 years and we have a energetic little boy, Ethan (5), and a sweet and stubborn little girl, Libby (3) and a chunky, precious baby boy, Oliver (1). Eric is workin' his life away as an attorney in the Big D, and I am going crazy as mommy. We are very blessed and very happy!
